Green Group recycling park, active in Buzău since 2002, is launching “Care for Health”, a donation platform with the aim to identify and support the needs of local communities for health and medical services.
To announce this project, today, February 24, Green Group and The Prefect Institution in Buzau launched a modern COVID-19 Evaluation and Treatment Center, as well as additional amenities for the modernisation of the Smeeni Hospital of Chronical Diseases. Green Group also presented its contribution to setting up modern vaccination centers in Buzău. Donations so far amount to 100.000 euros.
The investment in the COVID-19 Evaluation and Treatment Center included the setting up of medical examinations and treament rooms and a two beds patient room, providing medical care to COVID-19 patients. Green Group also donated 60,000 medical masks and equipment to improve the quality of the medical service provided by the hospital. The donation also included a HiTop equipment for high-tone therapy, five electrical hospital beds, 2 electrical examination couches, a blood donation chair, as well as medical furniture for patients rooms and the MRI room.
“This year we are celebrating 20 years of activity within the community of Buzău. “Care for Health” is our way of showing that Green Group is part of the local community, actively engaged to respond to all its needs. We are near the end of a difficult chapter that spared no one, making us realize that health is the most important objective to aim for and it cannot be achieved without solidarity. Providing for the health and wellbeing of the people in Buzau and around will remain a focus for Green Group into the following years as well”, stated Constantin Damov, Green Group President.
„Having a real and unconditional support from Green Group, based on mutual trust and the desire to do good for the people in Buzau, we managed to create in Smeeni a COVID evaluation center, where people can be properly examined and treated inside a suitable space, well-equipped with new and modern amenities. We managed to implement this center – which is only a small part of a bigger project – with zero state budget, relying only on donations and sponsorships from people meaning well. The total amount of the investment, 100,000 euros, exceeds the annual budget that The Institution of the Prefect has at its disposal for such projects. I am also expressing my admiration for the involvement of the medical staff at the Smeeni hospital and the availability of the management to help people. Our next step together with Green Group is to finish the interior of the vaccination centers that will remain, even after the pandemic ends, part of the fast reaction logistic infrastructure for emergencies and other community projects”, stated Marian-Daniel Țiclea, Prefect of Buzău County.
In the following weeks, Green Group will announce new health related projects.
